It's that time of year again - golf league time....

August 31, 2011:

And now the end is near and so I face the final curtain....     Well I think this just about wraps up the Wednesday night get togethers.  We got off to a late start this week, and we barely made the sunset.

Targeting a September 18 - Newport National golf outing.  Stay Tuned.

August 24, 2011:

Earthquakes and Hurricanes, something was off for sure - another gorgeous night for Jamestown Golf, but the scores were off for almost everyone...   In fact the worst average for the YEAR...!    I blame it on the natural disasters and the end of the world.

My guess is next week might be it for the Summer golf.  Be good, good luck with the Hurricane.

August 17, 2011:

Another perfect Wednesday night for golf, sun is going down early - we'll  have to buy Jack a beer or something to get out earlier than 5:30 pm.  Updated the score sheet, took out highest round of the year for most folks.  Note Jeff "new clubs" Nowell got a birdie on Hole No. 7 with a perfect 6 iron and putt.

August 10, 2011:

Great night for golf (again) and Joe F. had a very productive swing lesson that greatly improved his ball striking all round long. Coming down the home stretch for the golf league season, need to brain storm a 18 hole outing.

PGA Championship on this weekend.

New clubs can make a BIG difference..!   As Jeff quickly learned.  I quickly went online and upgraded my driver from www.3balls.com, we'll see if it works.

Another perfect night for golf at Jamestown.  We might have a new Drill Instructor (Jay) joining us for some golf - we'll all be doing push ups soon.  Bill got closest to the pin on 5th, and Joe S. got longest drive.

July 20, 2011:

Near perfect night for golf, warm & sunny - course is in perfect shape for mid-Summer.  Joe F. got closest to the pin on No. 5 and Joe S. got longest drive on 9th.

July 13, 2011:

Good turn out, scores trended a little higher than normal - scores have been updated.

July 6, 2011:

Great weather, some really good golf - and some poor golf from me.

OK who invited the new guy...?   Took the money on both closest to the pin and longest drive.  Remember, for the new guy - we play Thursday nights..!       

Anyway, great night for golf - good turn out, good scores.  Shawn continues to hold the top spot.  Have a great 4th of July.

Perfect night for golf - weather could not be better...      Great turn out for our crew.  Some really good shot making with birdies from Shawn, Jeff and even me.  Shawn remains on top with another strong outing.  Hope the weather remains like this for weeks to come.  oh - and GO BRUINS...!     Stanley Cup Champions...!
